I love watching arboreal snakes in their natural environment in the branches.
I also believe that keeping snakes in small cages is a crime.
Same for all other animals, especially if this is done for ‘fun’.
Hognose snakes have such boopable shoots, and I love them. Ball pythons can be super friendly if they are raised right. Snakes are definitely cute.

I try, but I just cannot get there when it comes to snakes. One copperhead, 36 hours in icu, 16 vials of antivenin, and watching the doc draw a line on my leg and telling me if the swelling hits this point, we are amputating. That experience sealed the deal for me – snakes will never be cute.

So we’re starting to breed some hognose snakes at the moment.
If I told my 10 year old self that I would just be randomly picking up snakes, lizards, turtles, etc. with no effs given I’d think you’d be lying to me
I love all snakes, and I think even the dangerous ones are cute. You just really shouldn’t try and boop a nope rope.

There’s an account on Instagram (I think?) that has this teeny tiny snake that looks like a worm. It burrows in sand, and confused her sand colored carpet for sand and tries to burrow in it. It’s so cute! I know nothing about snakes, except many are cute and I want to boop their tiny snoots!
I had ball pythons as a kid, I definitely liked them.
Could never watch them eat though and I probably wouldn’t feel too confident raising one myself, but the ones we had were mostly friendly and very cute.

I wouldn’t say this is unpopular. There’s a spectrum of people who either say “ewww I hate it” or “awww wattawattawoopie issa witto boopie”
Having had 4 snake invasions in my home before, I don’t really think so.
Especially when all 4 of them were venomous.

I’m terrified of snakes, due in most part to childhood trauma involving them. That being said, I can kinda see the appeal of them. The non-venomous, docile kinds at least.
