Golf is not a sport. It is a competition , but not a sport. Skill, but not an actual sport.
It requires accuracy, but not precision. There is no defense in golf. Physical conditioning? Not necessary for golf.
No sport entertains alcohol consumption during play, but it exists with golf.
Old people like golf because golf is also old. Golf has less defense than the following questionable sports: cycling, swimming, ping-pong, curling, croquet, I could go on….but I’m getting tired of naming actual sports.
