What should I work towards for the future?

r/

I am 16M and I live on a farm, I am very privileged, and live I’d like say upper middle class life. 1 Vacation a year 4 bedroom farm house. My parents came from a smaller background. My grandfathers accounting skills and my father’s persistence got us here. I hate my father, he is mean to my mother, and is very unfair to me and my family alike. I could complain for paragraphs but it doesn’t matter because all I want is to be free by the time I’m 19 maybe 18, and college is not an option. I have good grades I just have no desire but it would be an easy way out. I’d like to know what I should do? I am 16 I have a car and I’m about to get my license. I have many resources available like trucks and other farm equipment. What business can I start, how can I be successful.? What should I start saving for? For added context I work about 30 hours a week plus school and maybe about 350 dollars a week.

Given you live on a farm. You’re basically guaranteed a job as a shop labourer anywhere that’s looking. As long as your work ethic is good. You can work your way up in a trade. And labourer jobs usually pay better than retail and are 40 hours a week.
