So more than a year ago, I thought this girl was hitting on me and I developed a crush on her. I asked her out, but she told me she was seeing someone. I said I understood. We had dinner together as a group every week, but I didn’t see her much outside of that. I still tried to act kindly towards her, but she would always turn red and get anxious around me, so we couldn’t talk much. I have now moved away from the town where we both lived but I still occasionally text her. She never replies at length; she just gives me short replies. She hasn’t blocked me or anything; we follow each other on social media. Do I stop talking to her? I still have feelings for her, but it’s not like I’ll ever see her again, so I figured we could just talk like friends, but she always gives me one word responses. Am I acting like a pest or something? I told her I can stop texting her if she is bothered by me, but she just ignored that.
Note: I swear I didn’t do anything to make her anxious. I asked her out; she said she had a boyfriend. I then accepted her answer and wished her a good night. Since then I’ve mostly been friendly towards her

Just let it go and move on. Put the ball in her court. If she doesn’t reach out, your friendship is over (this is likely already the case.)
It’s not you it’s her , she just doesn’t like talking to you not because of something you did but just because maybe she doesn’t find talking to you fun or exciting. Also definitely YOU Should STOP talking to her because she just doesn’t seem to care and probably finds it to be annoying or you may come off as a bit desperate person.
