What is your highest education you received and do you wish you had furthered your education? Was your degree useless or did it have good job prospects that pay well?

High school. No. I don’t want something else taking up even more of my time. I found a decent job just fine without a degree anyway.

Bachelors degree. Yes I wish I had been able to go for a masters or phd because I really enjoyed school. But it’s so expensive.

I lucked into a good career that has nothing to do with my degree.

I have a Master’s Degree. I looked at some PhD programs and interviewed at two, but ultimately decided not to pursue it. Dr. FiendishCurry would have been nice, but it wasn’t worth the extra hassle and poverty to get there. At least not for me and what I wanted to do.

Bachelor’s degree. Kt has served me well. I’d love my masters, but it wouldn’t result in a better income and it would cost about $35,000 so not really worth it.

Masters. Absolutely not. It’s very expensive and there comes a point in your life where you become unemployable cos all you have is academic achievements and no real time work experience. And I avoided that pitfall ! Plus academic achievements are not everything … There’s more to life and I’m glad I’m enjoying more.

Masters degree. But honestly I don’t really care for learning more. The only reason I would go for the PHD would be just to get the “Dr” title and 4 years of pain doesn’t seem worth it.

I have two masters degrees. I wouldn’t get a phd unless I was retired or partially retired. As for degree effectiveness, I think my first masters absolutely helped me land jobs. My second is an MBA, and I’m only a middle manager, so I don’t think I will know if it paid off until I get into more director/VP level roles. Either way, I love being educated and think you can never have too many degrees (as long as you aren’t going into debt for it).
