I’m new to using pads (previously only used tampons) and I keep buying pads that say unscented or dont say anything at all and then i open them and there is clearly a scent.
A month ago I bought life brand (shoppers) pads that had 0 scent, yesterday i bought the same ones but without wings and there was a clear scent !! So i tried again today to buy the exact same ones with wings I bought before that had 0 scent AND THERE IS STILL A SCENT???
I’m so confused lol is this somehow a natural cotton scent? It smells sweet and powdery ….
The other pads I tried were yellow always brand they had the same scent as these ones and said “odor protection” (or something) – but these Life brand ones dont disclose any scents / fragrances so im confused.

I think it’s due to the materials used in making them. Plasticy, powdery scent. They don’t apply a scent to them which is why there isn’t a scent disclosed, it’s just what the scent of the materials and the packaging is.
Like how you can smell a band aid when you rip open the package? It’s like that.
You want “fragrance free”, not “unscented”.
