Hi, sorry english is my second language.
I lost my molar when I was around 8-9 years old and since my parents didn’t know the importance of losing a molar and we were poor back then. I didn’t get to check out my teeth until I was in my 20’s and the gap is way smaller then years ago. It affected my chewing, breathing, gave me an underbite and it affected my confidence and my mental health.
Is there a way for me to reverse the damage or am I simply out of luck? 🙁
Could braces help or tooth implant or is my only option is a very invasive surgery?

Implant
r/dentists-ask would be a better place to ask this question.
I lost two molars. Never replaced
My back teeth moved forward and I never had to have my lower wisdom teeth removed.
So no big deal for me.
Depends how long you wait. The bone can shrink and you may need surgery to add new bone to the jaw. I couldn’t do an implant anymore. I needed a bridge.
Yes. You can do an implant or a bridge
A dentist could tell you. I had the same situation and had to get braces to enlarge the space for an implant.
It’s likely they won’t advise to replace this tooth and instead will just want to close the gap, which is perfectly acceptable and normal. I’m curious though how exactly it affected your breathing-? Missing a tooth shouldn’t have any impact on that whatsoever. You also mention it affected your chewing. To what extent? Typically they would just advise to chew on the opposite side for right now. Once the gap is closed you will be able to chew normally on both sides.
Missing a tooth isn’t that big of a deal. Many people have a tooth removed as a child for whatever reason. It’s important to note that we sometimes also have extra teeth that a dentist will extract. Most people have 4 wisdom teeth that are usually removed.
.
Wisdom teeth are the last or very far back teeth. They usually don’t even come in until between the ages of 17-25. They are called the third molars. Some people just don’t get them at all for some reason while others end up having 5 instead of 4. They might end up leaving one in in your case because of that other molar missing.
As far as the underbite, it’s unlikely this was caused by that tooth being removed. You can visit a dentist or orthodontist that can give you treatment plans and costs for getting rid of that underbite.
Implants might work; they’re expensive. A bridge could possibly work, and there are several kinds of bridges as well. Your tooth’s been gone awhile and the gap has changed size, so that might be a complication. Orthodonistry might or might not be involve. See r/dentistry, where dentists hang for questions like this. Your dentist may also have opinions;
The point is that there are multiple options, and one might be right for you.
I think it may depend on exactly which teeth they are.
