No edition wars or gripings about creators/owners of works. Doylist griping about Star Wars in particular is subject to permanent ban on first offense.
We are not here to discuss or complain about the real world.
Questions about who would prevail in a conflict/competition (not just combat) fit better on r/whowouldwin. Questions about very open-ended hypotheticals fit better on r/whatiffiction.
Lucian probably deliberately avoided creating female Lycans, at least going off of the first film. Why exactly?
I mean, he’s from medieval times. Making an army of cannon fodder that includes women might rankle him, especially since he’s traumatized over his lover being murdered by the vampires. Another woman being killed by vamps would not be something he’d allow.
We do end up seeing a couple of them in Blood Wars in what is a hide out of Lycans with Marius.
It is basically implied that women Lycans are not on the frontlines of the war between Lycans and Vampires. This might be because Lycans have a more family/pack dynamic that might dictate a more familial bond than what we see with the Vampires.
It would also make sense for the Lycans to form families since they can reproduce in a way Vampires cannot. That allows allows them to grow their numbers while staying under the radar of both humans and the Vampires.
Think about what happens to the fandom if they make realistic female Lycans with 6 teets. That’s why I think it didn’t happen lol. They also don’t have dicks when they Lycans. I think people would focus on it too much and also sexualise it. Also immersion makes it easier to disregard sexuality like removing their dicks, because as soon as they introduce female Lycans the defining distinction would be tits, but both male dogs and females dogs have the same tits pre birth. So then it goes to; if you add female Lycans you have to basically draw genitals or weirdly human concepts of gender onto a dog. Both detract from the movie and introduce a sort of furry type concept.
The fact they focused on male over female could be attributed to the target demographic of that audience. Like its weird but there are also numerous explanations that make it not weird. Even if it was just production costs.
Even if it were purely production costs the target demographic mixed with that could easily result in this. I’m not saying I’m right I’m just saying it’ll probably make more sense the more you ask. It could be a simple oversight, but I doubt it.
