There’s different meanings of ‘real’ though. Real as in physically can see, yes. It wasn’t that black and white though even for Sun Worshippers.

It’s like one of those bell curve memes. On the left, the sun is god. In the middle, the sun is not a god. On the right, the sun IS a god.
There’s good reason why people all through history have worshipped the sun. By definition, it kind of is a god, it’s the thing that is required for all life. ALL life.
