Probably my French press. I refuse to go anywhere without it. When we moved from CA to NV and we were deciding what was going in the car with us as staples- I was like “French press- it has to, I’m not drinking shitty coffee”
My wedding ring. Its one of a kind and I bookmarked it a good eight years before we married. It waited for me the whole time 💖 I feel intensely attached to it
Probably my car to be honest, lol. It’s a bright orange sports car I bought brand new in 2019. It was financially irresponsible, and I’ll never do something like that again, but I don’t regret it. It’s been 6 years, and driving it still brings me joy. I’m pretty attached to it. If you’re a car person like me, you get it. I’m keeping it until it breaks, and then I’m going electric.
Second in line is probably the set of stainless steel pots and pans I bought a few months ago. I always had nonstick and finally made the switch. They’re beautiful, a joy to use, and they’ve elevated my cooking experience. I look forward to using them every time.
My first coffee mug from college. It’s this hideous purple thing with cats all over it that I bought from a thrift store for 50 cents. Been using it every morning for 12 years now. The rim is chipped and the cats are fading but I swear coffee just tastes better in it.
I have a tattered old baby blanket. Really just a strip of precariously held together yarn at this point. That I “retired” to my keepsake box my MIL made me. It’s my most prized material object and it killed me a little to put it away but, it’s too old to be cuddled with and washed constantly so now, it only comes out in emergencies.
My parents gifted it to me when I was eight years old and we lived in Belgium. It’s a very tangible memory I have of my parents, and that best time in my life when we were all together and happy.
Today it’s not my day job, but playing cello is a really lucrative side gig.
