We’d been together for about a year and a half. I already was completely in love with him, but past relationships had me super cautious. One year I had what seemed like a barrage of serious health conditions. I spent a cumulative 7 months out of that year admitted in the hospital. The hospital was about 30-45 minutes away from our house, depending on traffic.

He would leave work and make the trip during rush hour to see me every day. In all that time he only missed one day. After I was finally home I had severe physical limitations, so he had to help me with everything like getting dressed, bathing, and he even helped me clean up after using the toilet on occasion.

Most partners would’ve bailed, and I don’t blame them! His love and support are what kept me going, and I knew he loved me in a way that nobody else could.

We started dating in 2010, the story above was 2012. We recently celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary, and we get stronger all the time 🥰
