I’m reclining my darn seat….. Screw this about etiquette on planes trying to normalize NEVER recline you seat as it disturbs person behind. Well it disturbs me that I can’t recline, so who wins? They can also recline their seat back… IDK either but just food for thought and totally petty I know – easy fix though .

Yeah! You show em’.
You paid for your seat, recline it. I probably won’t recline if on a really short haul flight, but if it’s longer than two hours or so, seat is going back.
IMO only assholes recline their seat
Do you post your other tantrums on reddit too?
I don’t fly a ton, 4-6 flights a year, I have never once noticed or gave a shit if someone reclines their seat. Knock yourself out in my opinion
It’s fucked up that airlines keep reducing leg space to maximize their profits and have manipulated us to feel guilty over using the amenities we have paid for. Imo, the argument shouldn’t be between recliners and non-recliners but between consumers and airlines. We keep paying more and more for tickets while getting lesser and lesser for our buck
I don’t care about reclining seats. My concern is people kicking the seat behind me or putting their nasty feet on the footrests.
Honestly, this whole debate could be solved if it was just…
“Ladies and gentlemen, the captain will shortly turn off the seatbelt sign and recline all of the seats”
Failing that, just build them reclined by default. It doesn’t make that much difference in most economy seats anyway.
Are people really complaining about the 0.75 inches the seats recline?
The whole 1.5″ that you can recline? How devilish.
i think it’s so antisocial to recline seats, at least without asking if the person behind you has enough space. i’m a relatively tall person and even without the seat in front of me being reclined i usually cannot sit comfortably on planes, let alone if someone reclines it. i think it’s just rude
Who the hell cares about other people reclining their OWN seats???
As a tall person whose knees hit the seet just sitting down upright, I hate when people recline their seat and I will not recline my seat as a result.
If airlines weren’t trying to cram as many people on their aircraft as possible, I’d probably think differently. I’m not a minnow, god damn it, I’m a free range human.
One time I was sitting next to a larger guy who had his tray out and when the person in front of him reclined their seat the tray literally cut him in half.
It’s annoying when your row doesn’t recline such as the one before an exit row or the last row and people in front of you recline theirs
But it’s not fair to talk people. 100% of their lives should be perfect not just 99%! 😫
It’s economy. If you want more room, pay more book first class. I’m leaning my seat back. Don’t care
Seat reclining is a privilege not right. If I am eating a meal or working on laptop I don’t want the person in front of me in my lap. Often I put my knees this way that they can’t recline. If you want to lie down get a business level
I generally don’t care if someone reclines their seat in front of me. You paid for it, use it.
But I will insist on you putting your seat upright for meal times UNTIL THE TRASH IS TAKEN AWAY.
I want to finish my drink after my meal and not have to worry about it being spilled on me. Once the trash is taken away things generally are off the table, then reclining is fine.
Thankfully flight attendants tell people to put their seats up when food is served.
Basic sardine can decency.
Enjoy getting kneed in the back every 10 minutes.
