I got sucked in to the online casinos and it became really addictive. The winning, I won a good amount of money and was on a high for a while. The last 2 months I’ve been on a losing streak and just started spiraling. Long story short a distant relative passed away and I came across a credit card of theirs and decided to use it. I used it for normal everyday things, groceries, clothes and Amazon purchases. I was on a losing streak and was throwing all my cash into these online casinos and had nothing else to live off of. I maxed out the card, it was around $1K, took out a tribal loan to pay bills and then finally blocked myself from all online gambling sites. Now I’m panicking because I’m afraid I’ll end up in jail with a felony. I’m sick over it and terrified because I have a child. I think I just ruined my entire life.

Are you able to seek help for addiction in any way? A gambling addiction is such a hard thing to deal with and I’m sorry it’s something you’re struggling with.
Did you actually pay off the card with the loan? That would be a good place to start. And it’s great you blocked yourself from gambling sites. But addiction is a nasty beast and it’s easy to fall back in if you don’t have support. A lot of areas have support groups similar to AA that don’t cost money.
