When I was a cashier I would get a lot of rude people. If they noticed I would get pretend to get ride of it and continue with my work.
Whenever that would happen I would take around 20 bucks and pocket it even when they paid with a card. I never got caught thankfully but I think they never suspected me because I was a obedient worker for the most part.
My job sucked ass and the upper management sucked ass too and I wasn’t getting paid a whole lot so in my mind I felt I deserved it. Since then I work at a different place and I haven’t done that since. But I don’t feel guilty about it at all.

Stealing is still stealing even if the job was trash and the people were worse. Justifying it means you let the world turn you cold and one day you might not recognize the line you crossed.
I did the opposite. When my next door neighbor?(friend) came in, I would skip items so that they got things for free. It was Walmart over 30 yrs ago.
I don’t quite understand what you’re writing.
I did the opposite as well. When people went thru my line and if they looked poor, I would forget to scan an item or two
What if you were caught? Prison?
The problem is you were stealing from regular folks. Shame on you.
I would do this just to have extra money in my register so I wouldn’t get wrote up
Sigh. Just another thief
I did the opposite, I only scanned half the shit presented. If the item wouldn’t scan I’d use generic code and ask the customer how much they thought it was worth. Sweetheart deal were my favorite, I’d give 50% discounts on large ticket items if they’d buy me beer and leave it in my truck.
Wait how did you pocket money and not get caught? Because even if you were double scanning items and charging people more- the scan would mean the register thought you sold that item and would put that tally into the count… and missing money (even if it’s not supposed to be there) would definitely be noticed
Well aren’t you a piece of shit.
