Hello!
I have never been involved in research projects before. I do not have a PhD (only a Master’s) — though I’m considering one in the future.
My immediate concern is that I want to improve in research methodologies/statistical methods/etc. I have encountered them in the coursework for my Bachelor’s & Master’s, but never applied them in an actual project, especially now at my corporate job that has nothing to do with these.
I’ve started on an online course for brushing up on these areas (surveys, hypothesis testing, etc.), but I was wondering if there were other avenues I could explore? Where should I start, where should I be involved, are there any small-scale research opportunities one can explore as a side stint?
I’m going into this with an exploratory mindset – before commiting to something bigger like a PhD.
