It can be a really heartbreaking process, it’s not like you walk in and there’s a baby waiting for you. You may have to foster children before they are available for adoption and at any time they can be given back to the birth parents if they’re deemed fit again.

Because 1. It’s extremely expensive and 2. Sometimes it’s an extremely long process . May take even years for them to approve your “request”
Having kid is often a selfish desire, you want your own kid, one that resemble you. You don’t want to care for someone elso kid
