What was your childhood like where you grew up? What are some things you can mention that others would probably get? Any mundane things you remember fondly?

I’m Mexican and I’ve shuffled between Durango, Morelos and California all my childhood. From cousins to classmates, I felt like I learnt many different things, but still never had a concrete childhood in any one of these places or could fully understand the refrences sometimes. “Hey, everyone remembers this creepy AD on TV” and I’m like “Damn I don’t know anything about that.” Remembered being very nostalgic for Chocolate Abuelita too, but then got introduced to Ibarra Chocolate by other family. Didn’t know Ibarra existed before them.

To any Latinos, what was your childhood like? I know it also varies by area in your country, so I’d love your perspective on your specific area too.
