TIFU by writing a fake story

ok so, I was so bored and then I decided it’ll be a fun idea For me to write a fake story about this one dude (19yo) who’s tryna hit on me (16yo)

(DONT JUDGE ME. I JS LIKE WRITING STORIES IN MY FREETIME )

And I made an alt acc and named it Jhon.. (I ain’t gonna tell the name ofc ) And I said to myself in the Jhon acc: Would I be a pedophile if I hit on a 16yo (Basically insinuating that “Jhon” wants to f ME) — SOMETHING LIKE THAT

and sent it to this one Discord server that Im not active in. and yeah they freaked out. And They decided to Find the “Dude”‘s acc on Facebook and they actually found someone with the same name and They were a 19yo college engineering student.

they told me that they were gonna “Expose” him for being a pedo (But I was sleeping when they said that so i couldn’t respond to their messages, etc)
And now 5h later I woke up to a lot of pings on discord.

I’m TRYNA TELL THEM THAT IT’S JS A FAKE STORY AND THAT COULD RUIN HIS LIFE ETC BUT NO ONE IS BELIEVING ME.

I feel so bad 😭😭
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT’S THE BEST THING I SHOULD DO.
Some of my friends said that I should try and contact The Jhon dude and try to explain to him what’s happening but what if they found out who i am??
Idk if they alr “Exposed” him because it’s only been 7h

TLDR
I wrote a fake story for fun pretending a 19yo was flirting with 16yo me (using an alt account I made named “Jhon”). I posted it in a random Discord server, and people thought it was real. They searched Facebook, found a real guy with that name, and now think he’s a predator. I was asleep while they planned to “expose” him. And now trying to explain it was all fake but no one believes me and I’m scared theey already ruined some innocent guy’s life.
