If you can’t handle a lead character dying in a TV show you shouldn’t be watching television shows.

Drama style TV shows are absolutely amazing and entertaining yet when people get so attached to a character that the aspect of them dying drives fans into a frenzy of hate towards the creator or show itself it’s time to shut off the television. Drama shows are meant to bring out your emotions and have you on the edge of your seat. If your unable to accept things happen to further the plot of a show you need to stay away from television all together.

I feel like this is a ‘too much in the internet’-Thing.

In my opinion its justified to dislike a development of a show you are watching and stop watching if you no longer enjoy it. That doesn’t mean one shouldn’t start watching a new show or watch tv shows at all.

And I think you take internet drama a little too serious. Obviously there are thing that go way to far. Like what happened to Jack Gleeson was absolutly terrible und people should be ashamed of themselves, but simply disliking (and ranting online) about a show is not that big of a deal.

In my country, after a TV character’s death, some individuals decided to hand out “lokma tatlısı”. A desert people hand out in some regions after funerals, weddings, parties etc as charity.

Here’s the video link if you like:) It does not have any subtitles though, sorry!

And this was before the social media really took off. Crazy times.

P.s: There was also a mass prayer for the said character as well 🙂

Shows are meant to bring pleasure to the audience. Judging what people should/shouldn’t enjoy is stupid.
