Vehicle got hit didn’t realize, caught on dash cam and have their plates. What should I do?

Location: The Bronx

So this was in the Bronx on the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Rd. We were in bumper to bumper traffic I got hit on my rear bumper, didn’t realize it at first since we obviously aren’t moving fast I believed I had just dipped into a decent sized pothole. Of course the person that hit me didn’t let me know and I just kept driving to make it to work. Once I got to work I went to get something in my trunk and saw the damage. It isn’t anything grand but I do have a dent and some scratching on my bumper now, as stated I have their plates and video evidence on my dash cam when they hit me. They were in a utility vehicle and they actually went into a road work zone not that far from where I got hit. Just want to know what I should do, should I file a report and claim or just take the loss?
