I like watching sports, my issue is with the ads jammed between the gameplay
I can enjoy watching football or baseball, but I don’t follow any specific teams or generally care who wins or loses.
College basketball is my favorite sport. NCAA march madness is such a delight. I also love the World Cup.
Sports does absolutely nothing for me. I’ve tried, it’s just not interesting.
I watch boxing although haven’t been keeping up with it as much as I used to.
Football. UCL, EPL and La Liga mostly.
I watched the FA Cup final this morning, now the PGA Championship, then college baseball here in a bit, then hockey tonight. The only league I can’t stand is the NBA, but I love college basketball. I just love watching people compete I guess. A few teams (state college teams and one Premier League club) are able to impact my mood for days at a time with their results.
Zero consideration. There’s now this tennis guy called Sinner here in italy that is winning big time and I see his face everywhere, I seriously can’t stand the guy anymore…
I tried a few times over the years, but nothing stuck. I’ll occasionally see something good e.g. today I happened to watch part of the FA Cup Final football and it was pretty good. It didn’t bore the crud out of me like sports generally do.
Football, basketball. Baseball is World Series only. Really, I just like seeing people achieve athletically.
I watch all the major sports (football, basketball, baseball, soccer) since I live in one of the big four cities in the US. Been watching since I was a kid although our city seems to be cursed and gets no love from the national media. I try to follow the moves the teams make, although if you saw me in person you probably wouldn’t suspect it.
In addition to that as a runner/cyclist/swimmer I also follow those sports and some of the bigger personalities.
I think rugby is a neat sport so I’ve tried to learn more about it by watching the games.
I understand that sports might not appeal to all dudes but I also don’t get why there’s dudes that don’t and have to make sure you know that or have a contrarian attitude about it. For instance, I have never been a gamer and never owned a major gaming system (too poor as a kid and never got into it as an adult) but I don’t lambast those that do
Depends on the sport and what team. My city’s teams for hockey and soccer, 100% in to. Anything else I’ll casually watch if someone I’m with wants to, otherwise I don’t really care. Except baseball, unless we’re in the World Series, you’ll never catch me watching baseball.
I spend 99% of my time playing sports and 1% watching it (only rugby and track).
Love football (go Birds), basketball, and hockey, in that order.
NHL and motorsports (sans NASCAR and Formula Drift). I also will watch tennis if it’s on, but I don’t follow it
When I was younger I took it really seriously and lived and died by my team’s fortunes. I also played sports in school. I pay much less attention now, but still enjoy spectator sports.
I love sports, both playing them and watching them. It’s really the only thing I watch on live TV. As a kid I could watch Sports Center/ESPN in the morning for hours and just absorbed so many stats. Now I just watch the games cause ESPN is basically a soap opera at this point with their talking heads.
Not me.
I do not find sports interesting at all and do not watch any of them. Hockey is huge in my country and I just can’t bring myself to care.
I can’t stand any of it and never have.
It feels like religion to me – some people are passionate devotees, but for the rest of us, it’s impossible to understand the appeal.
Watching sports live is pretty fun for me, but watching it on the telly puts me to sleep, and that’s not hyperbole.
Very yes
There’s a camaraderie to it when you consume it and follow it with friends. Like, drinks or smoking weed with the boys wilt watching the game is a beautiful thing.
When you’re from the city the team is from, there’s a sense of self in the team. It’s part of your identity.
I think these feelings are more accessible because I grew up playing organized sports.
What sport? I’d probably enjoy playing any sport/game, what’s not to enjoy? Exercise and a bit of team competition. I only really watch football (soccer) but I’ve spent nearly 3 decades playing it so to me it’s exciting
never did, never will – except wrestling and some big events like football worldcup (soccer for the americans) but other than that, meh.
I used to ignore them, until I met my soccer fanatic wife.
Yes, I pay a lot of attention to sports, especially American football and basketball.
I like sports, but I only have the ability to keep track of football.
I’ll only watch if my kids are watching their alma maters’ college football.
Started watching hockey last year, it only took one season to turn me into pic related.
I love the playoffs, and I will spend the time to watch in hockey, football, baseball no matter if “my teams” are in or not. Regular season i am extremely casual. I keep track of wins loses maybe watch a few highlights or have a game on in the background but I feel it’s just too much to really get into
Depends on the sport. I pay attention when England play Rugby and Football. Otherwise. Not much. Snooker occasionally maybe.
I’m not really a sports guy.
I train in BJJ and watch specific UFC events, but unless it’s a team, I care about playing hockey, then I don’t really care to watch sports.
I’m addicted to Formula 1. Besides that I watch a lot of climbing competitions
I’m mildly interested in baseball and will watch an abridged game or the highlights of most Mariners games, but I’m far from a fanatic.
Too many men are too into sports to the point of being nerds. Yep, I said it, if you are THAT into a sport you are just as big a nerd as the guy who is THAT into Doctor Who
The only sport I will watch on rare occasion is MMA. Everything else is a waste of time.
I liked playing them when I was young but I’ve never been big into watching them. The older I get the less I care.
Hate sports.
Football and hockey pretty much all year round
I like ice hockey and MMA, but that’s about it
I used to be an avid sports fan but then I graduated high school and grew up. I still watch some football games, but I’m not really that into sports anymore.
I like F1 and Motorsport in general, idk why but I find every other sport kinda boring to follow
Pretty much the only sport I watch now is football. I played all sorts of sports growing up, so I’ve always viewed em in a positive light.
Despite that, recent shifts have made other sports unbearable to watch for me. Excessive commercials in every sport add 1+ hour to the viewing time. Bball has had shifty officiating and rules sets for a decade now, which heavily favor 3 pt shots at the expense of every other aspect of the game making the games mad boring.
Baseball games are unnecessarily long because of commercials, and games have little value with a 162 game season. NBA has a similar issue with a long season but not as bad as mlb.
Sports are incredibly fun and exciting by themselves. Seeing the peak of human athleticism go all out versus each other will always be entertaining.
Huge American football fan here, watch games, go to games, tail gate, keep up on all team news, who gets drafted, who gets cut. The Detroit Lions are my team. Been my whole life, I’m 41. And yes. It has been brutal being a fan of them in the past. You got to stay a fan through thick and thin.
I watch NFL, NBA, MLB, and some Soccer and NHL. Really enjoy it as well as going to games in person.
It also really helps in the sales world, some people open up a lot more if you can talk sports.
I like fishing and kayaking, if you think that counts? I’m not really working up a pulse though lol. Otherwise no, and I find it even less interesting to watch other people play sports.
Like auto racing enough to the point where I was actually involved with it (as a series photographer) for a few years. I enjoy hockey too but never have actually done any “work” with a team.
I watch the superbowl but over two evenings, and I watch the F1 race/sprints on the Sunday evening.
I love football and boxing/MMA. Everything else is boring.
The only sports I watch are when family/friends are playing, and that’s more to support them than being interested in seeing the game. It’s just never done anything for me other than highlight clips being interesting every now and then to see what the human body is capable of. I’ve been to one pro game in my life which was baseball and was bored out of my mind.
I like sports. I don’t like sports fans.
I have no problem with people enjoying sports. But if I’m not actively playing, I don’t really care about it. If it’s your thing that’s cool, if it not your thing that’s also cool.
