I lost my hat on a wave runner tour in Key West
It was only a paper hat that came with a Christmas cracker when I was about 8. As for the consequence, my father knocked me out with one swift right hook and left me lying on the floor until Boxing Day
Riding in the boat the first time this season. Forgot to take my hat off. Thankfully, it didn’t sink immediately. Turned the boat around real quick, and snatched it out of the water.
Just yesterday. The consequence? Embarrassingly chasing it down the street, looking like a real-life Tom and Jerry episode.

Was on a boat tour I had to buy a new hat in a small tourist town for 3 times the price of the one I lost.
In Cancun back in April. Had just gotten back from isla de mujeres and a gust of wind blew my hat into the water. It went under the boat.
Worse than Hat blowing off head would be an unruly teen girl smacking my hat off my head and cruelly shouting WHY DO YOU WEAR A HAT YOU TRYN HIDE YOUR BIG NOSE????
