Instead of washing the crumbs and sauce down the sink (or into the garbage), you should try to lick your plate so clean that it looks newly washed. First, it is a compliment to the chef. Second, it is environmentally friendly. Third, it reduces clean-up. Fourth, if the food is good you get that extra bit of enjoyment. Fifth, it keeps your tongue in shape for other things.

at you home yeah but due to social standards I think it would be better to use the food like bread or potato’s and wipe up as much as you can.

This is either the best use of this subreddit or the worst. Can’t decide.
My ex and I used to do this when it was just us at home. Our plates were always clean. We never wasted a single crumb. I wouldn’t do it now but it makes me chuckle.
Use a piece of bread, sop that sauce up.
