Frozen “cardboard” pizzas are really damn good compared to the majority of chain pizza places.

r/

I seen someone refer to a rising crust frozen pizza as a “cardboard” pizza on another subreddit and it just rubbed my rhubarb the wrong way that they were thumbing their nose like such. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a frozen pizza that I would describe as bad but your mileage may vary I suppose as this is subjective.

Please understand I’m not comparing these to your bespoke pizzerias with the wood fired oven and kitschy pizza paddles with handlebar moustaches burnt into them.

Not only are they not bad but they’re dirt cheap compared to ordering a pizza from Dominos/Pizza Hut/Boston/etc. Somewhere always has the rising crust brands on for $5 CAD or a thin crust store brand for less. Kinda hard to beat that price.

We can’t get Delissio/DiGiorgno in Canada any longer but there’s still so many damn good $5 pizzas from Dr Oetker like their Casa Di Mama brand, the Giuseppe brand, etc.
