The same people who think excessively spicy food = more flavor are the same people who think louder = winning the argument.

r/

If these two populations were compared with a venn diagram, it would be a circle.

Spicy with good flavor = Good, reasonable, valid.

Very spicy with good flavor = Good, reasonable, valid.

Extremely spicy with good flavor = Usually too much for me, but I respect it and I hope those who can tolerate the spice enjoy it.

Spicy with Mediocre at best favor = Meh/indifferent

Pure spice with no character

Pure spice with nothing except hemical burn is no longer flavor, but just a pissing contest of pain tolerance. I view this no differently than the stunts on the show, “Jackass”.

I have no problem with this pure capsaicin extract used to test someone’s mettle. But I take issue with misrepresenting excessive burn as a genuinely acquired taste or something only a sophisticated palete can understand kinesthetically.

This is no different than, “VOLUME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAT CONTENT OF SPEECH WHEN ENGAGING IN A VERBAL ALTERCATION!

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
