I can only eat mashed potatoes with honey

r/

Something is just missing without it. I discovered it as a kid one time when I was eating chicken and mashed potatoes. The honey was for dipping the chicken but I decided to just put it on the potatoes and unlocked one of my fated joys. I also have to use a lot of honey and it can’t be mixed in

Stir in some wholegrain mustard too and you have a dish

Interesting. Savoury sweet. I’ll have to try it sometime.

I kind of have something similar with Kraft Mac & Cheese… I hate the flavor of it by itself, so I have to add Worcestershire sauce to it and it makes it so much more enjoyable. Do you like sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows ontop by any chance?

  12. Eldritch-Cleaver Avatar

    That’s despicable lol

Actually good mashed potatoes don’t need anything, not even gravy.

I mean, that’s not thaaaaaaat far off from sweet potatoes…sorta.

I’m now intrigued by this and dangerously curious.

You have my attention. I try not to blow off weird suggestions like this, as I have had some amazing experiences when thinking outside the box with weird food combos. Whether this deserves to be unpopular or not remains to be seen.

Sweet Potato mash with maple syrup sounds like it’d be up your alley too.

That sounded a little bit like the condition ARFID)(extreme picky eating), but then I realised the sup we’re in.

I don’t think I would have ever thought of it but I think it would be good. I might have to give it a try at kfc or something.
