i stopped playing football after being invited to play for the youth national squad in our region and academy teams. but i think it was for the better because i have permanent knee damage, messed up fingers and bad ankles

Make decisions for myself growing up. I just did what was expected of me or as I was told. Which means I never really thought for myself. I ended up going to a good college (didn’t want to go to), doing well and getting a solid degree. I was unhappy in my first career and now unhappy in the 2nd that it segued into.

Im now a very tired and depressed 30 year old with a good job that I detest. I should go back to school, look for other jobs, etc but Im just fuckin tired from the 30 year sprint. Burnt out.

Kids, find something you’re passionate about early on, or even think of a career field you see yourself doing for years. We spend most of our life at work, not liking what you do guarantees misery.

Toss up between not going to college / school for something I could make better money in without going into debt or not getting addicted to shitty food/alcohol and not working out hard early on.

Luckily both things are repairing and evening out

Not care more about my grades in school, with the mentality like “fuck school” like I really wish I would’ve been more invested, I graduated high school and in college but damn, I wish I had more interests
