I don’t know why people hate when it happens. when you wake up, your bed feels amazing. You don’t want to get up to but you have to. Waking up 5-10 minutes before it means you still get the amazing sensation where your bed is insanely comfortable, and you don’t have to immediately get up. And waking up before your alarm probably means you had a good nights rest. I just love it
edit: if you have insomnia, sorry, but I love waking up a few minutes and even a few hours before my alarm. Hopefully this doesn’t karma wrap around and give me insomnia.

Is this unpopular? I can’t understand why it would be, just seemed like everybody talked about it in a negative light.
I actually agree. In fact, I set a second alarm earlier than the first so I can feel that feeling every morning, knowing I woke up before my alarm.
I used to wake up at 4am for work on a Christmas tree farm, but I kept it on during the weekends just so I could lay there and go back to sleep until 6 or whatever. I don’t just like sleeping; I like going to sleep.

I agree, only because I like to roll over and get my bonus nap.
Unless you have insomnia. Then you wake up 3 hours before your alarm goes off and you can’t go to sleep again and all you want is just 5 more minutes.
I love it when this happens. I’d rather wake up 15 minutes early and chill then being woken in a dead sleep/deep dream. When that happens I feel tired all day.
i actually have like3 alarms set before my actual alarm because i love waking up , seeing i have 3 more hours to sleep and then going back to sleep.
Being able to just chill and have zero responsibilities for a little bit is so nice.
I agree with this, but I also haven’t seen anyone who doesn’t. When people complain about waking up before their alarm they usually mean considerably earlier than the alarm, not a few minutes
I’ll be honest, I hate to wake up with an alarm. It doesn’t matter if I wake up on time, before or after, I simply hate it.
Never happens to me. I always wake up about a few hours before the alarm goes off. But I think this is infinitely better than only having a few more minutes of sleep. 5-10 minutes is nothing. I never wake up refreshed anyhow so I’d just be pretty annoyed.

I noticed that once I was fit, and happy I started waking up really early too.
Whereas when I was really depressed and never active, I wanted to sleep until like 1 PM.
I set an alarm for 7:30 just in case, and wake up at like 6:30 99% of the time refreshed and ready to eat several human souls to maintain my youth and fitness.
Waking up naturally beats getting shocked awake by an alarm any day. I also love walking up before my alarm…maximum of half an hour though, any longer than that is annoying.
Anyone waking up a minute before? It amazes me to no end to see the time and it’s about to go off.
I have insomnia. I get what you’re talking about. With insomnia… Most of the time I haven’t slept at all and my alarm goes off. Or I’m FINALLY about to fall asleep and it goes off. That sucks. It’s a different thing though.
If I go through a rare patch where I’ve been sleeping well and I wake up a little early I don’t mind it. It’s cosy! Plus I know that I’m functioning and running early. That peace of mind is so nice.

I wake up 5 minutes before my alarm every day. No matter what time I get to sleep. I love it.
I always set an alarm if there’s something to do early, but almost always wake up 20-30 minutes early.
