So today I decided to try something new and eco-friendly growing herbs from kitchen scraps. I grabbed some carrot tops, celery ends, and green onion bases, soaked them in water, and placed them on my windowsill. Feeling proud and ready to become a plant parent, I thought this was going to be my best gardening hack ever, few hours later, I noticed water dripping from the windowsill onto my kitchen counter. At first, I thought it was a tiny spill, but it quickly turned into a slow leak. Turns out, I had overfilled the containers, and without a tray or any protection underneath, water was pooling everywhere. I scrambled to grab towels and mop up the spreading water, but the damage was done floor was soaked, and my cabinets took hit too. I realized that I hadn’t thought about drainage at all. My bright idea of growing herbs turned into a mini flood disaster. Now, instead of a thriving garden, I have soggy paper towels and a slightly more humid kitchen. On the bright side, my apartment smells fresh and herbal, but I definitely learned my lesson: gardening takes more preparation and waterproof trays than I expected.

TL;DR:
Tried to grow herbs from kitchen scraps but overfilled the containers, causing water to leak all over my kitchen and almost flood my apartment. Ended up with a soggy mess and no garden yet.
