Unsolicited Nude Picture – with likely lie coverup

r/

Hi there, I wanted to inquire about the legality of sending a nude picture without consent. This guy is someone I was previously seeing and just happened to “accidentally” send a nude photo of himself just days after I had made it clear that I only want to talk to him if there is no sexual or romantic relationship.

In Canada it is illegal to send unsolicited nude photos – is this made muddier by his (expected) likely lies to do damage control about intending to send another photo? I do not believe him whatsoever, and looking back on some of our interactions and the things I know about him – makes even my most naive self sure that he is insulting both of our intelligence by playing this game about “accidental” sending. He basically goes on to say “omg I am embarrassed”. Personally, if I were in his shoes I would be a lot more than embarrassed. And, considering the lack of emotional expression in this “apology” when he is usually very expressive I feel is really the last piece of knowledge I need to form my own personal conclusion…

How does this hold up in a police report?

Location: Canada

You really want to have someone arrested for sending you a nude photo of themselves?

Have you considered blocking him rather than trying to figure out how you can get him arrested?
