[TOMT] Article/Post I read last year comparing AA and AAA batteries from the major brands in a standardized way in a cost v. benefit way.

Hi, everyone.

I can’t quite remmber if it was an article on some blog or a reddit post. It was at least from 2024, but could’ve been older.

The writer was comparing all the major brands of AA and AAA batteries, and including their costs, so even if X brand had higher quality, but it was also more expensive by a certain amount, it was better to buy Y brand because it had the 2nd best quality, but it wasn’t as expensive, so that one had the best cost v. benefit ratio.

I’ve tried google and reddit search for months, but I can’t quite find that one article/post.

The only thing I remember about it is that the method used to test the batteries: a small simple spinning motor, so batteries were rated on the amount of rotations that each brand did before the battery was drained.

Help me, friends.
