Was given a 1099 that was over $10k in MY earnings

Location: California, Los Angeles. A little back story, im a truck driver and picked up a gig with a man who let me run one of his trucks in September of ’24. Worked for the rest of the year up until around February 2025. He paid me cash, personal checks and zelle. Asked him for a 1099 to do my taxes and he agreed to make me one. Turns out he put down $21,442.55 as my earnings. I gathered my checks, and zelle deposits and my total income was $10,498 for the 4 months i worked in 2024. Called him the moment he sent the 1099 and kept saying thats what i earned. Never changed it. But one of my issues is when I started working for him, he paid me a certain amount because he had to pay insurance for the truck. I fortunately found a company and stopped working for him ever since. My tax person fortunately was able to write down expenses since i was always on the road and even wrote down insurance as an expense because I “technically” paid for the insurance. I know it sounds weird but I dont know if i can do something about this.
