NYS- can a towing company charge storage fees for days they are closed?

r/

My car got towed this morning and I called the company where I was told they aren’t open until Monday and to call then. He said he did not know what it would cost as he “did not have the paperwork in front of him”. When I pay, are they legally allowed to charge storage fees on the days they were “closed”? Their hours online state they are open 24/7, but I guess that just means answering phones 24/7?

Location: Albany, New York.

Yes they can charge you for the days they are closed, yes it is a big scheme, yes it is legal (somehow)

They likely have a gate fee that can allow you to get them to get someone after hours/days closed that will dwarf the day storage cost.
