Mel Gibson, as actor and director

  6. davegammelgard Avatar

Tom Cruise. He clearly knows how to make popular movies, but I can’t get past the whole cult leader thing.

  7. ElectricalEconomy170 Avatar

    Leonardo DiCaprio

  8. auburngeek Avatar

    Joss Whedon.
Edit. Name from Josh to Joss

  9. PotAndPansForHands Avatar

James Woods. Undeniably great actor, trash bag of a person.

  10. APraxisPanda Avatar

Most music artists. Especially older rockstars/rappers. I feel like the only reason many of them didn’t get “me too’ed” is because the terrible shit they did was already a matter of public record- probably with songs that proudly brag about whatever gross thing they did. (Looking at Motley Crue)

  11. coolbr33z Avatar

    Hamburglar character from McDonald’s.

  12. 2dumb2learn Avatar

    Mel Gibson, unfortunately

Alec Baldwin. He’s an ass but he’s a damn good actor

  14. Expensive-Tale-8056 Avatar

    Roman Polanski and Woody Allen

I’m dying that so many of the guys listed are rapists, cult leaders and nazis (Kevin Spacey, Kanye, Tom Cruise, R Kelly), while for the women it’s like “I don’t know why she just rubs be the wrong way” (Mariah, Ariana) lmao 😂😂😂😂

Morrissey. I hate how much I love the smiths

  17. kbyyru Avatar

    Marilyn Manson

Edward Norton. He’s a douche, but an amazing actor.

  19. InstagramLincoln Avatar

Red Hot Chili Peppers – basically everything about them is unlikeable, trashy, and/or deeply problematic, but they are legitimately great musicians.

  20. ButterBaconBallz Avatar

Neal Patrick Harris. I loved him until the meat platter incident.

  21. Catzaf Avatar

Jeff Dunham is undoubtedly a highly skilled ventriloquist, yet his humor often strikes me as mean-spirited, reflecting a facet of his own personality through his puppets. While I recognize his considerable talent in his craft, I find the biting tone of his material off-putting.

  22. Belle0516 Avatar

    Cynthia Erivo!

Man is she talented as hell and she did a great job as Elphaba, but that whole fan-poster mess really rubbed me the wrong way.

  23. veryviolet12 Avatar

This will show my age, but Barbra Streisand is a trash person…

  24. Active-Ad-1958 Avatar

Alfred Hitchcock was reportedly rather rude and at times inappropriate towards actors in his films, particularly women, but he truly was the master of suspense. Psycho was a game changer.

  25. LastofAcademe Avatar

Logan Paul as a wrestler. Clearly an athletic guy that can work. But what a cunt he is.

  26. Wild_Obligation Avatar

Jared Leto. He’s an Oscar winner with great hair & band that sells out arenas, but he’s a fucking weirdo

  27. beefstenders Avatar

Jeremy Clarkson is an intolerable dickbag and a right-wing mouthpiece, but the man is a master at writing entertaining telly.

  28. Wild-Soil3808 Avatar

    Roman Polanski

  29. Armybrat75 Avatar

Rupert Murdoch. Brought Death to America.

  30. Mirantibus88 Avatar

Surprised not to see Gywneth Paltrow on this list. She has a string of really good movies in the 90s and 00’s, then got really weird.

It’s isn’t just the weirdness; it is the way she looks down on people too.

  31. Egodram Avatar

Pablo Picasso might have been one of the most gifted artists in history, but I can’t forget that he was also a wifebeater who threatened to kill one of his exes.

Obvious one, but DJT. I despise the man, but we don’t give him enough credit for how good he is at what he does.

He IS demented, but a portion of that deranged behavior & clowning is very much on purpose (though he loses the plot often bc his ego is a raging beast to be nourished with attention, good or bad).

He is actually fucking terrible at “dealmaking” but his grift is top notch. He has figured out the formula for manipulating a certain kind of person, he knows just the buttons, just the outrages, he correctly judged the zeitgeist & understands his base better than probably any democrat has. He appealed to a demographic of disaffected people who were frothing just under the surface, the emotional & uneducated ready who jump at any outlet for their big feelings whenever he wants them stirred up. He says big, crazy things knowing he’s reset the narrative, & that his base won’t fact check his claims and even if they did, have little to no historical/general knowledge to evaluate them. He took the 2-layer social media truth model and turned it into a political strategy (info bombardment on the surface to disorient, with an ideological undercurrent just below acting as the “foothold” which subtly grounds people to things they think they’ve chosen but were actually directed to).

As I said he is unrepentantly vile, and honestly not that smart, but his psychopathic instincts for manipulation and total lack of integrity have been put to use to great effect.

Chris Brown, mans a literal menace to society but can dance, and sing his ass off. Knows how to put on a show, and can write damn good music, but he is a horrible violent person and a colorist.

  35. Boo-Cat Avatar

Neil Gaiman. Absolute hero, till he wasn’t.

  36. InvoluntaryNarwhal Avatar

    Neil Gaiman.

Previously one of my favorite storytellers, but the sexual assault allegations against him are so horrendous and creepy that I just cannot.

  37. oswhid Avatar

    John Voight

  38. OneZebraTear Avatar

John Lennon. Amazing talent, seemed like an incredibly shitty individual.

  39. redditstolemyshoes Avatar

Zachary Levi. My fave disney prince, and can act like he’s a normal, down to earth guy. Shame it’s an act. I cannot abide his politics

  40. megera24 Avatar

Neil Gaiman’s work – I only liked some of his books, but for those 1-2 that I did, I was a hardcore fan.
…Then the allegations came out. Then he spoke about it. 🤢🤢
    Disgusting.

I can only say; thank goodness ‘Good Omens’ also has Terry Pratchett to stand behind…

  41. No_Collar_5131 Avatar

Eric Clapton. I love listening to him but his repeated DV charges in the past which he readily admitted to along with marital r**e, I just feel saddened.

  42. Nwadamor Avatar

    Chris Brown
    Kanye west
    R Kelly

Mel Gibson, he is a misogynistic antisemite but he is an extremely talented filmmaker

J.K. Rowling. I was already an adult when I started getting into the Harry Potter books and was in love with the characters and the world she created. But the last 5+ years, her views and active work against the transgender community have been heartbreaking and infuriating. I felt conflicted with still loving the books and the films. Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the films, responded to Rowling’s tweets on gender identity in 2020. I include below the last paragraph he wrote:

“To all the people who now feel that their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you. I really hope that you don’t entirely lose what was valuable in these stories to you. If these books taught you that love is the strongest force in the universe, capable of overcoming anything; if they taught you that strength is found in diversity, and that dogmatic ideas of pureness lead to the oppression of vulnerable groups; if you believe that a particular character is trans, nonbinary, or gender fluid, or that they are gay or bisexual; if you found anything in these stories that resonated with you and helped you at any time in your life — then that is between you and the book that you read, and it is sacred. And in my opinion nobody can touch that. It means to you what it means to you and I hope that these comments will not taint that too much.”

Elizabeth Moss is deep in the Scientology cult. Great actress but can’t watch anymore. She walked out of an award show when Leah Remini won.

Tom Cruise. Hate the guy but he is skilled at what he does.

Dave Grohl broke my heart. Like for years he painted himself as such a nice guy and then bam.
