I used to work at a bakery in New York City. There was a time where I burned myself twice in one day, but I never burned any desserts! Had the odd celebrity sighting/order, and according to my co-workers had a bunch of “influencers” come in, but I was so out of touch I didn’t know who they were. AMA!

Ok I’m old but humor me…you know that scene in You’ve Got Mail, he says: “Every night a truck pulls up to my neighborhood bagel place and pumps about a ton of flour into underground tanks. The air is filled with white dust which never seems to land.”
Is that true? You have underground storage accessed by chutes on the street?
I heard that food tastes good in New York beacuse the bakers don’t wash their hands after touching the subway rails and it gives it ” that taste” of the city?
