I am going on an 11 day solo survival trip to a deserted island in the Indo-Pacific. This will b my third trip of this nature, but the longest.
I will bring a fishing rod, tackle box, extra fishing line, a speargun, pot, fillet knife, 1 gallon jug of water, a hammock and a portable solar still to desalinate water.

How do you feel when you return to “city life?” Do you feel refreshed or is it a strain to return?

My box of goodies would be enough to kill an elephant. Coke, weed, ket, balloons and likely some acid
How will you manage to get fresh water? Are you lifelong or longtime fisherman? Would you suggest one who doesn’t know these skills to try such a thing?

What wild dangerous animals live on the the island or in the water near you ?
Are you bringing a cat? I heard from someone who did this in Indo that they gave him a cat at the last minute before dropping him off to help with the rats.

I ask, as if you’re a Dr in a lot of countries, you’d be making a nice income. And that you would still choose to chill this way, without all the luxuries, is a very badass choice.

I did this once but it was a resort in the Maldives. The French wine was lovely.

Any dangerous wildlife you have to worry about? Crocs? Snakes? How big is the island?
Enjoy! It was nice to be able to do this within 3 hrs of Manila. Just snorkel and grill seafood all weekend while camping at night.
It’s beautiful but as usual, nothing is perfect… the bugs will eat you alive. Bug repellent is a must. Sticky oily skin + sand = yuck.

Gators are real man; like for fucking real. Those islands can have healthy populations. Look for tail marks before committing
