I’ve recently learned from a couple friends who always look good and presentable to be getting their haircut every 2 weeks! Guess that’s what it takes to maintain that low taper fade. They justify it by saying they only have to pay $20-30.
Then on the other side there are friends who just have natural good hair even when it’s long they still look good and would only get their haircut every 1-2 months but idk they might be paying $50 plus tips.
I never really put much effort into my hair. I usually just slap on a hat and call it a day if it looks bad. How much do you spend on your hair and is it worth it?

Every 2 months, and I pay 25 dollars
I cut my own once a month and pay nothing.
60 bucks every two months, no tips, but with massage, shaving, waxing between eyebrows and skincare
Haven’t cut it in over 5 years lol
Once a month, $35 plus $10 tip, so $45 in total.
I have never seen a good fade done for $20.
I like to go every 6 weeks, sometimes I’ll stretch it to 8. I pay $35+$10 tip.

Once a monthish $18.
About every 2 months. I like to keep it on the longer side for a bloke. About au$50. My barber has a small bar inside it so its a great excuse to pull yourself a beer on the weekend.
$40+tip every other week.
Every 4 weeks, $55
Once every 6 months. $25.
I cut mine every two or three days.
The silver lining of baldness is that I take care of it myself for free, after the cost of an electric razor. And even before I took it down to the skin, I just used clippers all over rather than pay someone a bunch of money all the time.
And before that, I would get a buzz cut and then not do anything to it until it was so long it annoyed me, usually something like 6 months. But I also didn’t get laid at all during this time, so don’t take that as advice.
Once a month, $950.
I have a membership at a local place. $80 for two services a month plus a $10 tip each time.
About once a month and zero, because I use clippers and do it myself.
I cut my own hair every 2-3 months for free.
Every 2 weeks and it’s $40 plus $5 tip. The low fade and beard line up is a necessity.
I should go every two weeks but it usually ends up being every three. I have a pretty close fade and agree that if you want to keep it looking good, every two weeks is necessary. I pay $36 including tip.
Usually twice a month 65 total it comes with a wash
Every 4 weeks. $36 after tip
I have super thick hair. When my work hat doesn’t fit anymore without adjusting it, I’ll cut it. #4 gaurd on a pair of $35 wahl trimmers I bought 4 years ago.
Every 3 weeks or so. I pay $12 + $8 tip because this lady undercharges.
Once a month or so, free from my friend
2 maybe 3 times a year. Do it my self.
I cut my own hair – about once every 3 weeks
I go years between cuts.
Every 2-3 months $100 I have medium length hair
About once every 6 weeks and it’s around $50 after tip
Cut mine myself once a week. Buzz the sides, trim the top, square it up. Can’t stand hair touching my ears or forehead or back of my neck.
I trim and style my facial hair twice a week. Shave my neck, cheeks, and unibrow.
It costs me… whatever I paid for my little Remington shaver kit like 10 years ago. Prolly like $35. Though it does take me a good hour of concentrated effort.
Once a month $30 CAD
Every two weeks, $40 plus tip. But i’m 41 with no kids or pets, and have run out of things to buy.
Weekly and do it myself. Buzz cut. Never paid for a haircut before.
Every time I shave I buzz my head. My razor has been paid for, for years now.
Every two weeks and my SO is my stylist. She uses my beard clippers with a 3 guard and it’s free 🙃
Once a month.
₹ 100 ($1.2)
Mine grows like a weed and doesn’t look any sort of good with length so it’s every two weeks when I’m broke and every week when I have money. $45 including tip and been going to the same barber for 5 years
Once in around 4 months. My hair is voluminous and thick but I like to keep it longer and style it with some matte clay every day, putting it slightly to the back.
Usually my haircut costs around 5-6€ (250UAH to be specific) but that’s because I am going to a regular hairdresser who is a highly skilled at her craft instead of those barbershops where things are twice as expensive and haircuts take twice as long to do.
Clay itself costs around 8-9€ (350UAH + shipping) but it lasts me months as well.
Every 3 weeks normal boy cut. My hair grows very long
Every 3 weeks unless my barber is booked out. $60
Once every few months I get the same haircut. Three inches off the top. #1 back and sides. No fade. Its $35
Every 3-4 weeks. $30
Once every 4-6 weeks. $35 plus a hefty tip because it always looks great.
Every two months. $50 with tip.
I used to be once a month, but figured I’d grow my hair out a bit while I still have a full head of hair
$0 and whenever I deem it to be too long, typically 3 times a year I’ll cut my hair and shave. I ain’t trying to impress anybody with my looks, I could honestly not care any less what others think.
Every two months. I pay $50 plus tip, but that’s a haircut for me and my son together.
Since I began working from home and wound up in a new area without a social life, I’m on the semiannual program. When I’m not a hermit, it’s every 3 weeks.
Once a month and I pay nothing as I cut my own hair.
I grew mine long, so I only spend a bit on shampoo and conditioner. I should probably have the split ends cleaned a bit, but I haven’t done that in a long time.
About once a month and $15 but I pay her $20 to cover the tip.
When it bothers me I buzz it. No charge
Every two weeks 40$ a pop
Maybe once every 3 months. I pay 25 bucks plus tip I think.
I usually wear my hair longer. Typically get a cut every 3-4 months, at $30 not including tip. I wish I could cut my own hair but I have some complicated waves and a cowlick and such
Every 2/3 months, my wife cuts my hair
Nothing, the last time I got a haircut, it was a freebie from my sister, who is a barber. That was in 2003. Since then I just wear it in a braid.
Sides and back every 2 weeks. Top, once a month. Free fitty. I do it myself. Got clippers, nice scissors, a comb and mirrors. Been doing it myself for 30 years. Gotten one or two professional haircuts in the last 3 decades but only because I’ve gotten my hair bleached at a salon and decided to treat myself.
About once every three weeks. Tip included 27 dollars
I grow mine out cuz it looks good long, and get it cut before important events to look sharp, and buzz it when summer starts.
So maybe every 6-12 months. The cuts cost $60 CAD, $100 if I do brows too.
Every 2-3 weeks. I do an basic cut that anyone can do, so I get it done free…cuz I have a family member do it.
I’d do it myself if I could, but the bad is tricky…
In my late 30’s and I’ve never paid for a haircut. It’s been either long hair or buzzed my whole life. Have worked in professional settings and I make whatever stage my hair is in just work.
2 weeks, 51 dollars with tip.
I donate it every couple years and enjoy it short for that year, only getting it cut once a month or so for 4-6 months.
Every 2-3 weeks and $43nzd.
I’ve known plenty of Marines who were required to get haircuts every 2 weeks, some even had to have a fresh cut every week. Those dudes got their cuts either on base or from someone on the ship, $10.
I get one about once a month or so, costs me $35 with the beard.
Do it myself at home for free…whenever I feel like I’ve gotten too mountainous.
Haircut every 2 or 3 weeks. And a lineup in between to keep me looking fresh. Cost is about $50 for the haircut and $20-$30 for a lineup.
I normally tip about $10.
$0 minus trimming and buzzing supplies, and I look like Brittany Spears
circa 2006every time.Every 3-4 weeks. Probably 2-3¢ in electricity because I cut that shit myself.
Every 6 weeks, $35 and a 20% tip. A bit on the expensive side for how basic I keep it, but I get to help a friend get her career started so the money doesn’t bother me
I keep my hair short. Circa 3mm. I cut it when it annoys me. As in it starts needing water applied after getting out of bed to flatten it down a bit so it’s not sticking up. That’s maybe around 15mm. And it cost me the price of a set of clippers some years and the electricity I use each time as I cut my own.
I do leave it to get longer in the winter and cut with a 9mm for maybe 3-4 months of the year.
Ten bucks for some Asian bird to shave my head. Once every few months
Every 2 months. $50.
Once a month / $8 + $2 tip
Every ten weeks. $25.
Maybe every month, nothing I do it myself
Twice a month ideally. About $40-60 all in with a beard trim.
Not much hair anymore. But I get it trimmed every 6 weeks at Great Clips – with tip $20.
Every 2-3 weeks depending on my schedule.
Preferably every 2.
$20 + $5 cash tip.
I got lucky and married a barber, and she’s a damn good one.
But I’m balding so I just keep it buzzed off down to the dome anyway. But my beard always looks crispy 🤌🏻
Monthly but sometimes longer in the winters and shorter during the summer. Either way, its monthly on average. I get it done for free now but it used to be $10.
I like my hair a bit shorter but don’t get it cut often enough. It’s not too much money when I do go get it done.
Every 4 months or so till covid. Then I learned how to cut it myself on YouTube. Now I do it every month and I do better job than the barbers I used to pay $50 to
Yeah I go 1-3 months. I used to cut it myself pretty average. Now I pay like $40 plus tip. I take my kid there too.
Always tip the highest option on the checkout screen at the barber. I think it took me too long to realize that. Thankfully before parenthood.
I don’t cut my hair so 0 dollars lmao
Depends on what stage of my life. Back in high school I would aim to fade myself up Thurs (right b4 the weekend) and then Sunday (right b4 the start of the school week). I would very asked how come in always faded up lol.
Ongoing after that, aimed for at least once a week (Thurs or fri). Sometimes every other week if I’m lazy. Def helps cutting my own hair for so many years.
