TIFU by trying to surprise my partner with breakfast and accidentally waking up the entire neighborhood

So, I decided to surprise my girlfriend with breakfast in bed. I woke up early, tiptoed into the kitchen, and spent way too long trying to make the perfect pancake recipe I found online. I was feeling pretty proud when I finally finished and carried the stack to bed. As I tiptoed out of the room, I accidentally knocked over a glass of water, which spilled across the floor and made a loud splash. I thought I could quietly clean it up, but my dog, who was sleeping nearby, got startled and started barking like crazy. That woke up the entire neighborhood, I live on a quiet street, and my house is pretty close to the next one. I looked out the window to see neighbors peering over fences, probably wondering if I was being robbed or if a bomb had gone off. My girlfriend woke up, confused, as I was frantically trying to clean up the mess. The pancakes got cold, but at least she laughed… once she realized I’d caused a neighborhood-wide ruckus.
