Got mine in 1 week (normal job, ira, bonds). But individual anecdotes (eg selection bias on who wants to share) won’t paint much of a picture. I’m sure large studies are conducted; irs has internal numbers; possibly irs releases this information.
I filed relatively early in the season (basically as soon as we had all of our documents; W2s, 1099s, etc.) and our refund was deposited just a week or so after.
