I am applying to my dream agency soon and as I am filling out the personal history questionnaire I would like some advice. Under the drug usage section, it specifically asks to disclose drug use that has occurred within only the last 2 years. Back in high school (>3.5 years ago), I experimented with marijuana (<5-10 times) and psilocybin mushrooms (1 time). Ever since then I have matured a good bit and not consumed any type of substance meeting the department’s requirement. My question is should I disclose my previous drug use during the polygraph? According to the policy I have found online and through the recruiters I’ve spoken to, drug use is only disqualifying when it has occurred within the last 2 years no matter the substance. Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

That should be disclosed on the PHS prior to the poly. Also for a lot states mushrooms are 10 year to permanent disqualifier.
You can pretty much bet that if you disclose something on the Poly that is not in your PHS you are done for.
