I’m women..and I don’t understand male friendships so I thought I’d ask my question here.
Background info- was bullied a lot growing up. Mostly by my brother’s male friends. They didn’t find me attractive at 11💀, so majority of the comments were about my appearance. In middle school, it got worse. That was the first time I experienced physical assault from a guy. I told my brother what had happened. My brother was close friends with him and asked him to tell his side. The guy lied and said I started it. My brother for some reason believed him over me and continued to be friends with him. This kept happening, majority of his friends just weren’t the nicest to me💀. And mind you, Im a quiet person. At that time I was an undiagnosed autistic and had low self esteem..so maybe they saw I was vulnerable.
Tldr- say there was a situation where your close buddy called your sister a bitch ..or assaulted her. Would you cut all contact with the friend, try to make them apologize?

I did what your brother did, and gave him a chance to explain himself. I did not find his explanation satisfactory. I committed assault and battery with a side of personal property damage and just a dash of criminal mischief.
And no one has pushed any of my sisters in the mud or pulled up their skirts since, that I am aware of.
When we were little, I once approached a person that my brother claimed bullied him. But then, the guy said my brother bullied him. So then, I was at a loss on who to believe.
In the end, I did nothing as my brother was a known liar.
