The tape is best when it works properly, but in my experience with it, it’s not reliable. The tape gets twisted, it frequently doesn’t actually apply to the paper so you just wind up wasting a bunch (and don’t bother trying to “rewind” it, that never works), or the tape tears and then the whole cartridge is wasted.
I don’t make mistakes so I’ve never needed it

I haven’t even seen a bottle of white out in years. Everyone types anything important nowadays. If it’s not that important you don’t really need to edit it.
I don’t think I’ve used white-out in any form since middle school.
OP I’m more inclined to say this is an objective fact than an opinion, but, a curiously anachronistic one in 2025. Like how much is anybody even still using white out? Do younger people even know what the hell it is and what its for?
No, the best method is just crossing out whatever mistake you made.
I seriously never understood why people are so keen on erasing mistakes, especialy in subjects where you use logic, if you just mark it as wrong, and later go over your notes, you will see that whatever you did was wrong, which is a lot better for remembering stuff.
