Bathtubs are the biggest scam. Everyone acts like soaking in lukewarm water is some kind of spiritual reset, but be real, you’re just stewing in your own dead skin.
They’re cramped, awkward, don’t even get me started on the hair situation. the nape always gets wet and there goes your good hair day. Then you have to rinse off afterwards like you didn’t just spend 30 minutes pretending to relax in a human soup bowl that goes cold way too fast. Keep your bath bombs.

I shower before I soak
I don’t know about bathtubs
But a person taking “lukewarm baths” is surely an unpopular opinion
“Lukewarm” ? Step one is finding a comfortable temp that’s slightly below boiling. Also, have you heard of floating? Have you ever floated? It’s the closest thing to weightlessness that exists on earth. The weight of the world literally melts away and your bones breathe a sigh of relief. I love tubs.
first off, use hot water…. not like warm water.
second, it sounds like you’re just used to small bath tubs? I’m 5’10” and don’t have the same size issue.
third, I don’t have baths often, mostly when I’m sick, and they feel great in those instances
fourth, lots of people, myself included, don’t take baths to get clean…. more to relax or warm up. after a bath, I usually have a quick shower.
Use hot water, rinse off in the shower after if you feel not clean enough, get a bath pillow or shower cap.
I don’t know if it’s unpopular but I definitely agree. Showers all the way.
I’m 6’5, I haven’t taken a bath since my honeymoon almost 19 years ago where our hotel room had a tub big enough for both of us.
Why are you not using hot water? And you can rinse off before and after the bath. A bath isn’t about getting clean.
I’m gonna tackle another angle …
There are other uses for a bathtub besides the relaxing soak. Like …
Bathing babies/toddlers/kids too small/not ready for shower
Bathing dog
Watering plants
Washing large awkward things
Soaking clothes in oxyclean
Baby duck pool
And I’m sure I’m missing plenty of other things
My tub is a big jacuzzi one (6ft x 4ft) with plenty of space, even for two. Also has a heater to keep the water warm.
As for dead skin, given the amount of water I don’t think the concentration is high enough to worry about.
I like to sip a scotch and read in mine.
If you have cancer it can be a lifesaver when you’re sick and throwing up.
Being 6’4, bathtubs just aren’t usable for me. My jacuzzi does the trick.
Idk what type of baths you’re taking but my waters temp is set to hell
that opinion is your own, possibly compounded by heating failures, bad mindset, and woefully incorrect methods.
Don’t get me started on how much of a waste of water taking a bath is. I never understood people who love the environment so much, are vegan, etc, yet they love to take baths.
In Japan they have a button on bath tubs, press it and it reheats that shit to blistering temps. Das nice.
Not enjoying a soak in the tub is one thing, and is an opinion I can understand even if I disagree with it. Taking the leap from there to “bathtubs are a nightmare” an “bathtubs are the biggest scam” is wild, though.
Follow that up with cuticles-cutting mani-pedi that you now have to do since you’ve soaked your skin so thoroughly, and you basically feel like you are back to work 😄
I’m mostly joking, though. Take an upvote.
I take multiple bubble baths a week, upvote for unpopular opinion
