I work overnight shifts so I’ll get home by 6 AM and the first thing I do is walk around turning all the lights off
Every single light even during the day time, leaves the bathroom fan on for hours and hours, when it was winter he’d turn on the radiator and then when he’s finished in that room he’d leave the room without turning it off, now he sleeps with a fan in the bedroom because he’s too hot and when he wakes up in the morning and leaves the room he doesn’t turn it off, and I don’t want it on and he knows that so he’s not purposefully leaving it on for me. It’s absolutely infuriating.
Living room lamp, light over kitchen sink, and laundry room light. Not a big house, but when I turn them out, she complains she can’t see when she gets up at night… so I’ll compromise by shutting if the living room lamp (living room is open into the kitchen), which she complains about a month later when she notices and I just stare at her. So I’ll leave living room lamp on and turn off kitchen sink light… which she complains about when she finally notices a month later, and I just stare at her… :sigh:
I honestly don’t mind the living room lamp, as I can read if I wake up in the night or early morning, and the laundry room is the rear entry, so I can find my boots early in the morning.

My ex was convinced I had nightvision because I had no light on,
Im just poor eyesighted to begin with, so I just know where things are😂
I wake up to pee in the middle of the night and there’s like 3 lights in the kitchen/living room; he’s passed out with his phone on playing something plus the TV and Xbox on and the controller if it hasn’t turned off yet. Also sometimes the hallway or the bathroom.
Also leaves like every light on when he leaves the house. 😩
