People think halal means clean or moral, but in reality it often involves killing animals while they’re fully conscious. Stunning is usually skipped so the animal feels everything. That’s not humane at all.

What’s worse is that halal certification is everywhere now, even on milk and candy. Companies pay religious bodies for these labels, and that cost gets passed to all of us, even if we don’t follow that religion.

It’s not about hate. It’s about ethics and transparency. Most people wouldn’t support this if they actually knew what goes on. But no one talks about it because it’s “sensitive.” It shouldn’t be.
