Never cry.
That in order to get a girl, I have to be a gentelman, buy her stuff and treat her like a princess.
All of it mostly. I just paddle my own canoe.
Men always need to pay for everything. That’s what my grandparents taught me when I was a child. Maybe in their time there was still something worth paying for but it’s been long gone. Now I happily let the girls I date pay for me, lol
That men weren’t taught to express themselves or their emotions. As I thought about it, I realized that there are many great feats and works of art that are a result of men expressing themselves. What men are not taught to do is express their emotions like women do.
Men must pay for everything
That i have to share my feelings
Anything “traditional values”. Sorry, I was not born in the 50’s when a man could support a family and buy a house on a single income.
Any woman who preaches “traditional” roles in a relationship and she was born around the same time as me gets a huge laugh. That just means she wants to stay at home and have me be her honey pot.
All men watch sports.
When I have tried to make small talk in the engineering field 8/10 guys don’t watch sports at all. Blew my mind.
A ton of male stereotypes about what “real men” do. The truth is that society has always just used that narrative as a way to control men until they get their usage out of them. Then they’re thrown away.
If someone’s telling you something you need to do to be a “man”, its always something they need/want you to do. I.e.. they want you to do something.
ignoring pain. I was so lucky that I had a great lieutenant in the military that took this very serious (despite the typical military culture of ignoring and dismissing pain).
I told him about a minor annoying pain in my left knee. He’s philosophy is that pain is our body telling us something is wrong so he forced me to get it check. Turned out I had a minor tear on my ligament. I was able to care if with without surgery and recover. If I ignored it would have needed surgery and could have been so much worst.
That it’s not OK to be emotional. That is only half true. It’s not OK to allow my emotions to control my life. That is the true part. BUT the part that isn’t true is that I am not allowed to express them. I can cry when I am sad or really happy. I can be vulnerable with my wife. I can tell people I trust how I feel.
Be nice to girls. No. Be nice to people that deserve it. Be indifferent by default.
Always take care of mom and my sisters (moms rule) but that rule doesnt apply to any man or fuck around they choose , and family is first BS
Men don’t cry, men have to pay, take risks, and must get the girl. The most BS? No can be Yes
Men don’t do housework, take care of babies.
That we are stupid and need women to nag us.
Men don’t like pink, don’t like dancing, don’t like cooking, don’t act nurturing, don’t cry or express any other emotion besides anger, can’t be friends with women unless you’re both gay, though a real man can’t be gay either
Hi I’m Scott and my parents were morons
That boys will be boys.
As a boy, you kind of get the idea that is very attractive for the ladies to be good at fighting and to be big and strong.
Well, I can tell you that I spent almost all my life competeing in martial arts, powerlifting and strongman. And not a single female soul ever thought that was cool. Some dudes thought it was awsome though…
Well, atleast I had fun!
That true masculinity is a harm to society. I said this because this society has some perversion in it.
“happy wife happy life” bullshit.
