    $18, $7 tip. $25 all in.

  4. LGAMER34 Avatar

    $30 plus $5 tip

  5. dnb_4eva Avatar

    $6. Hair + beard.

  6. Boring_Spare_8185 Avatar

18 up from 17. Barber owns shop no tip.

  7. ubiquitous_uk Avatar

£33, extra £13 if I have the beard trimmed.

  8. Keith7601 Avatar

I use clippers for years now every few months. So zero.

  9. Papaya_flight Avatar

$50 in Pennsylvania. My son just got a haircut and paid that much.

  10. Tayaradga Avatar

$20 or I’m buzz cutting it myself.

  11. Hrekires Avatar

My barbershop raised their price for a head shave from $20 to $35 after Covid, and that was the final straw for me to just do it myself at home.

  12. Zero-Order-93 Avatar

    $60 unfortunately

    $50 + 20%

  13. Low-Pomegranate-5229 Avatar

    $10 for sides

    $20 for the full

  14. Grand-Knowledge-1124 Avatar

I been shaving my head cause I’m not paying double for the same thing I paid for without getting double the service

  15. bongo1138 Avatar

Where the hell you getting a good haircut so cheap?

    I’m spending at least $35.

  16. Tacticlown Avatar

Paid $50 for a decent set of clippers 10 years ago. Still going strong today.

  17. JonnyConquest Avatar

    £12 – 3 tip. Newcastle UK

  18. DelrayDad561 Avatar

    $20, plus a $5 tip.

  19. Whole_Animal_4126 Avatar
  20. LordIBR Avatar

Really depends on the service and hair length.

Going to the barbershop for your run of the mill haircut? -> 15-20€

Going to a certified hairstylist that is licensed to cut hair? 50-60€

The latter is mostly applicable for longer hair and includes a consultation.
I’d rather go to a hairstylist every 6 months or maybe even just once a year than go to the barbershop every few weeks.

Pricing also obviously depends on the location. Larger cities will be way more expensive than small ones obvs

  21. Due-Stick-9838 Avatar

bought clippers in 2014 and been doing it myself since.

  22. Xepherious Avatar
  23. mynewromantica Avatar

I have long hair so it can get expensive. Even when I don’t have long hair I’m super picky because I have weird cowlicks that some people just don’t know what to do with. So I’m usually around $80-ish after tip. Thankfully, right now I only get it cut about once or twice a year.

  24. flipnitch Avatar

I bought a set of Wahl clippers in 1999….so whatever it costs in electricity to run them these days

  25. WigVomit Avatar

    $30 plus $10 tip = $40, my son goes to Pell12 in chinatown $100.00 plus $10 tip = $110

  26. Lostmychickenchutney Avatar

    Uk. £22 / like $28ish ??

  27. conspiracysoldiers Avatar

I’m giving myself a fade after a few Natty lights, that’s what hat’s are for

  28. Apprehensive-Energy8 Avatar

    Shave, haircut, and waxing = $30 😏

  29. noideabutitwillbeok Avatar

15 including a tip, buzz cut. Local place, the guy is slow but he’s good people.

  30. Caeldeth Avatar

I paid like $110 once…. For an electric razor for my bald dome. So I cut my hair every other day, making my cost per cut shrink quickly.

  31. CptJFK Avatar

    Nothing. Wife buzzes it off.

  32. JudgementalChair Avatar

I’ve got a decent barber who knows how to cut my hair just how I like it. I pay him $55.

  33. lazenintheglowofit Avatar

    USA: $24 + $10-15 tip.

  34. not_a_fed98 Avatar

Whatever electricity costs. I do it myself.

  35. elScorXXo Avatar

$19.99 a month for unlimited haircuts at SuperCuts

  36. cryptiiix Avatar

  37. GeppetoOnDVD Avatar

36 including tip. She washes my hair double too.

  38. bossandy Avatar

too much. and that is the answer for every product. It is always too much.

  39. Shigglyboo Avatar

7-8€ at the Arabic shops. 18-20€ for a stylist.

  40. Flashignite2 Avatar

Free. My sister does it for me. I do give her some money anyway for the job. Feels wrong otherwise.

  41. alehansolo21 Avatar

$12 at the Asian barber around the corner. I always tip an extra 5

  42. flux_capacitor3 Avatar

$13. I give a $7 tip, because I know the person. Master barber. Not some chain place.

  43. BrisbaneBrat Avatar

    $35 including tip.

    Every four weeks.

  44. Riker_Omega_Three Avatar

    I go to a salon

Same person has been cutting my hair for like 15-20 years

    $35 plus tip

    No conversation

No having to tell her what I want

She knows what my haircut is.

She knows I really don’t want to chit chat

I’m in and out in maybe 20 minutes

    It’s the best

  45. H2Bro_69 Avatar

35-40. The guy I go to does a great job so it’s generally worth it. I also only go once every 6-8 weeks so not that often.

  46. arizonacardsftw Avatar

$60 all in – NYC. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is top tier so I’m not gonna rock the boat to try and save $20.

  47. hispanicausinpanic Avatar

30 including tip. Usually every 3-4 weeks

  48. masterjon_3 Avatar

$25 including tip at this one spot

    $30 at Supercuts

  49. misterfistyersister Avatar

$60 every 3 weeks for hair and beard.

  50. booziwan Avatar

Cut my own hair and own many hats.

  51. Cinerator26 Avatar

I shave my head at home, so zero.

  52. Floridaavacado74 Avatar

$56 use to be $48 up until recently. In ft lauderdale. Plus I tip $20. About once a month. I see a nice lady hair stylist.

  53. loganwachter Avatar

$18 plus tip. Trim and straight razor on the back of my neck.

In and out in 15min or less.

  54. SHOWTIME316 Avatar

whatever it says on the Great Clips board

  55. Uberutang Avatar

    Barber about usd 5.

  56. pysouth Avatar

$30, but I tip another $10. I go every like 6-8 weeks probably. I should go more often, but meh

  57. gdwoodard13 Avatar

About $40-50 including tip depending on which place I go.

  58. funkybutt2287 Avatar

    Free. My wife does it.

  59. sevenlabors Avatar

Shout out to my fellow bald bros shaving their own heads.

(I will go get the beard professionally trimmed and shaped three-four times a year, though.)

  60. aLegionOfDavids Avatar
    1. Learned to do it myself
  61. Capt_Gingerbeard Avatar

Haircut and beard trim from a stylist (because my barber retired) is $85 after a tip. She makes me look like a guy from a magazine, and my wife loves it. Definitely try an expensive haircut if you haven’t before

  62. ExplanationNo8603 Avatar

Free, I cut it myself or my wife does from time to time

  63. hitometootoo Avatar

Nothing. Started cutting my hair from COVID and haven’t looked back. Have saved hundreds at this point.

  64. RightToTheThighs Avatar

$25 plus tip for an even $40. I only get my hair cut maybe every 3 months

  65. morchorchorman Avatar

$40 with tip for basic cut and beard trim

  66. FoxPowerful4230 Avatar

I shave my head in the shower. Haven’t paid for a haircut in decades.

  67. Darex2094 Avatar

$18, and the shop I go to loves my tips so much the owner AND the staff always bump me to the top and say I had an “appointment” whenever I walk in (I think… I don’t speak Spanish).

EDIT: I spend $40 whenever I go, because I used to pay $40 at the last place I went to. So my tips are always $22 cash. Minus whatever for taxes, I’m not doing the math and I don’t take the receipt.

  68. somguy-_- Avatar

Barber every 4 weeks, hair, face, and beard. $50 includes tip.

  69. rrrdesign Avatar

$55 for shampoo, skin fade cut, beard trim. I tip $15-20 because she is rad.

  70. elnots Avatar

Great clips does my hair. Simple cut that takes 15 minutes. They charge me $15

  71. relobasterd Avatar

I think the haircut really cost $25 but I just give them $40. A good hair makes me look and FEEL attractive.

  72. Polkawillneverdie17 Avatar

$45, but she gets it right.

  73. jagr18 Avatar

I’m used to paying $45 plus a tip. I have thick curly hair and the woman who cut it did an excellent job and she showed me some nice products to put in it. Now that I moved my sister does it for me. I try to help her clean, play my niece and nephews while she gets a power nap in, or leave her some cash if I am in a hurry.

  74. nynv1226 Avatar

$25 not incl tip. I never know what to tip so for regular days I give 5-6 tip. Hope that’s OK.

  75. motorboather Avatar

    $35 every 3 weeks

  76. Secretly_A_Moose Avatar

$18. But I always give her $30 and tell her to keep the change

  77. CatBoyTrip Avatar

    $30 plus $10 tip once a month.

  78. Oceanbreeze871 Avatar

With tip about $50 once every 6 weeks. If she charged less I’d go more often.

  79. DawgnationNative Avatar

    Zero. I shave my head.

On occasion I’ll got to a upscale barber shop for a hot towel shave and cut. It’s glorious but costs about $80.

  80. xueimelb Avatar

Been cutting my own hair for some years now. It’s definitely a skill and the first few were bad. The current cut isn’t great but I’ve got the rest of my life to get better at it.
Question for those who pay a professional and tip said professional. Why do you tip? You don’t tip your dentist, electrician, car mechanic, or insurance agent, what makes a barber different from other professional work?

  81. roge0934 Avatar

    $50 tip included

  82. 613_Cam Avatar

$40 CAD with tip every 5 weeks

  83. oKhonsu Avatar

    4 or 5 dollars

  84. welch7 Avatar

I luckily live outside the US, I’m paying $10 for beard and hair.

  85. neoxcun Avatar

    25 for the cut 15 tip : 40 total

  86. Elkidoo Avatar

    4 eur twice a month

  87. tedlyb Avatar

However much it costs to run my clippers.

I haven’t paid for a haircut in decades.

  88. flyingcircusdog Avatar

$40 including tip, every 3 months.

  89. a13zz Avatar

Zero. Clippers for the win. 🥇

  90. H3NTAI_S3NPAi Avatar

    $20

I go about every week and a half

  91. Poorman1700 Avatar

Texas, $45 at a locally owned barbershop

  92. HEpennypackerNH Avatar

While fully recognizing my privilege in that I finally am at a place where $40 isn’t a huge deal anymore, I think mine is $39 and I tip a $5.

But it’s a great place, my guy does a great job, and the conversation is therapeutic. I’d pay $10 just to go there and hang out for an hour.

  93. MrHiccuped Avatar

I bought a buzz cutter recently and just give myself the number 8. If Jake Gyllenhaal can pull it off, I reckon I can too. 20 bucks upfront, and then like 10 minutes every month, has been a huge money and time saver.

  94. Spirituallly Avatar

    $65 for hair & beard
    not including tip

  95. Belazael Avatar

$15-20 and I generally tip $10 if they do a good job, $5 if they do an ok job.

  96. Honest_Context_3067 Avatar

    $40 every two weeks.

  97. negcap Avatar

I am sure it’s above average but I see the owner of the salon whenever I want, no appt needed and it’s $55 + tip. My wife says you don’t tip the owner but I always do. I used to get bad haricuts at Supecuts for $25 or so and I spent years cutting my own hair so I don’t mind. She does a great job, shaves my neck, hot rosemary-scented towel, free beer if I want it and she trims my eyebrows so I don’t look like a crazy person. She’s also fun to talk to.

  98. ColdHardPocketChange Avatar

$40 including tip, every month. I’ve come to expect that they will straight razor my neck as part of that offering. I have begun to feel like my parents when I complain about the cost of a haircut. I remember when I was a kid it was like $17 with a tip at a large haircut chain.

  99. jbascnc Avatar

$40 for electric clippers that I use over and over again at home. Cost per use goes down every couple of weeks.

  100. WuhWuh_WuhWuh Avatar

Like 35 including tip and I go to a salon

  101. Aggressive-Compote64 Avatar

Clooney inspired me to get a Flowbee in 2020. I haven’t paid for a haircut since.

  102. downtownDRT Avatar

she makes me do nice things for her

    so that?

  103. AFthrowaway3000 Avatar

Zero. Clippers FTW, I just buzz it monthly. Easy peasy.

  104. AHockeyFish Avatar

    $25 plus tip (Great Clips)

  105. un_internaute Avatar

    Paying? In this economy?

  106. SeanRoss Avatar

20-25 when I go, although he’s been cutting my hair since 95…

  107. getliquified Avatar

$0. My wife has been cutting it since COVID

  108. akidnamedudi Avatar

    45$
    haircut+eyebrow threading w/ tip included

  109. JJQuantum Avatar

Zero. I gave up a couple of months ago and let my wife do it.

  110. geoffpz1 Avatar

0 right now, clippers/bald. Forgot my clippers last time we were in az and to do a #3/2 trim on my head was $20. Stupid I know, but broke even for not buying another pair of clippers for 4 months.

  111. iLoveAllTacos Avatar

About $60 every 2 weeks for a #1 fade on the sides/back, cleanup the front & top, rear neck shave w/straight razor, shampoo, blowdry, and styling.

  112. iamyaM Avatar

Like $25.00 with tip? It went up so fast. It’s not new, but I think it went from like $13 to $20 in 2 years. Great Clips. I’m simple.

  113. Agitated-Hair-987 Avatar

I just donated my hair for the first time in January. Hair cut was free.

  114. hentaipolice Avatar

None, I cut my own hair now. Barbers are retarded and can’t follow basic instructions.

  115. reddit_tard Avatar

Haven’t cut my hair in 3+ years. Before that it was $40+tip every other week. Stopped because places didn’t like walk-ins and I was tired making appointments and getting rescheduled.

  116. Thucydides_Locke Avatar

    $45 for hair and beard

  117. xKINGxRCCx Avatar

$45-$50 for fade and trim on top

  118. speed_of_chill Avatar

$22 plus tip for my barber.

  119. nobuttpics Avatar

$0. I’ve been cutting my own hair since around college. Just wasnt worth the time I always had to spend waiting around in barbershops. My cut wasn’t overly complex enough to justify the time/cost. Learning to do simple tapers/fades isnt that hard.

Some of the barbershop culture i’ve witnessed became offputting as I got older as well. Some spots around me were just becons for the local douchebags. filled with loudmouth man babies who are pushing 30+ talking about bitches and hoes (barbers and patrons), not to mention the teenagers whose behavior was just abhorrent.

Had a nice thing once upon a time where my barber suggested I try the new guy who was a younger, deaf immigrant from uzbekistan but he didnt have the 5+ deep waitlist. Not only was he rock solid as a barber but the minimal chit chat was glorious. communicated via typing out in text messages. Sadly I moved away from that area and wasnt worth the drive and tolls to stick around. Hope that guy is still out there crushing it.

  120. Next_Frosting8672 Avatar

$35-40 including tip at the barber

  121. bloopie1192 Avatar

I gave my stylist my shoes a couple weeks ago for a trim and shape up. He said with the increase in prices due to the tariff scares, he’s going to need a fingertip next time.

  122. Philosophos_A Avatar

last time (2 weeks ago) I paid 14 euros for a whole haircut .Nothing crazy but I sure as hell had lots of hair gone…so…yeah anything above 20 euros for such small work is a crime..

  123. serial_crusher Avatar

I buy a new set of $50 clippers on Amazon once a year

  124. this_knee Avatar

$0. Learned to cut my own hair during the Inside time of 2020.

  125. stupidfock Avatar

    $20 at the barber

  126. NotJimIrsay Avatar

$0. When pandemic shutdown hit, I bought a set of clippers for around $40. This is spring 2020. I’ve been cutting my own hair ever since.

  127. Substantial_Judge931 Avatar

I pay $36 per cut, I’m in Southern California.

  128. FiveMileDammit Avatar

Supercuts $18/month unlimited. I usually get two per month, plus a $5 tip, so $14 per cut.

  129. Horror-Writer33 Avatar

Stopped getting it cut in 2020, I got in for a 25$ trim once or twice a year now

  130. KingVapula Avatar

Haven’t cut my hair in about 4 years

  131. Chicken_Burp Avatar

    €40 for hair and beard

  132. skinink Avatar

$0. Wahl clippers and a DE razor is all I need. I’ve been cuttting my own hair since 2018, so when COVID hit and barbershops were closed, I was good to go.

  133. No-Profit1069 Avatar

$50 + tip, once a month. Too damn much.

  134. ItzOctober3rd Avatar

    $50 plus tip 😭

  135. FrankParkerNSA Avatar

Well it costs me an unholy amount because my wife cuts my hair.

  136. LazarusRises Avatar

the ladies at my local barbershop still do a men’s haircut for $20. I don’t know how but god bless them. there are 4-5 other barberships within a quarter mile that charge 3-4x that amount.

  137. TheSunniestofBros Avatar

Barber charges 45. I give him 60. He’s my boy. We both own businesses and pay full boat to support each other.

  138. santoscolchonesbatma Avatar

    $0

Im bald so i just bought some clippers and do buzzcut once a month

  139. PHATW0W Avatar

Well, I started balding at 18 so at 30 I just shave the bit that’s left off myself, costing £0! Wouldn’t say it’s a good thing but we get what we get.

  140. PrudentSyllabub636 Avatar

    $38 plus a $12 tip

  141. ruthlessrellik Avatar

35, no tip because they’re system doesn’t allow it.

$37 after tip. $32 for the cut and $5 for the tip. I go every 2.5 weeks.

  143. bbkb Avatar
