No it’s a sweet thing to do, just don’t leave his kitchen a mess as that would be irritating.
Did he say you could hang out or was it it you had stayed over and he had to go to work , they are two different scenarios.If the latter he could see it as snooping and or full on , unless you’ve baked or cooked there before.Sweet gesture but it depends on the reason you were alone in his home and how you’re relationship is.
Everyone loves cookies. He asked you to stay because he likes you a lot. So no, cookies aren’t too much.

Uh, I mean where else are they supposed to be? I always make sure they have no way of fishing down the ladder to escape the hole and double check the sound proofing to make sure no one can hear them.
Honestly by month three the fighting spirit is usually pretty much gone anyways, and sadly about the time you have to find a new princess and send this one to the wood chipper.
