How many hours do you normally work weekly?

r/

I can’t lie I just started a new job averaging 60hrs a week and I see how people burnout quickly these long hours (the pay/benefits is worth it)

8-24. Depending how much money I want that week.

I like to have time for hobbies and friends and family and wife and gf, so I reduce the work as much as possible. It’s low priority.

I’ve already burned out once before and I’m not going there again.

I’m a full time employee, so I typically work 40 hours a week. Lately, though, it’s been anywhere from 35-40 because of my store cutting hours here and there.

40-45 but my work is 5 minutes from home and I get healthcare, 401k and a year end bonus.

Between 55-60hrs a week on my main job and a couple of hours on my second job… Say between 3-10hrs a week.

I work from home, for a tech startup, I’ve been here since we started, i used to work in office, but had to relocate, hence the remote work. I make 60k a year at the moment, I probably do about 4 hours of work a day, not that I’m lazy, moreso that I’ve become efficient in my role. So if you break that down to hourly, I’m doing really well, not often stressed, some would say living the dream. I sleep in, I watch a lot of YouTube, I have nice things and I have a nice place. Granted, we do have busy seasons and I do have full 40 hour weeks occasionally, but overall, naw, I do about 4 hours a day to keep the machine running.

If you have kids, you’ll official workweek will drop to 50 hours.

But you’ll spend another 30 hours taking care of your kids. But there’s no defined schedule for that 30 hours. You can’t plan it, so it never really begins or ends.

80 hours a week for the last almost 3 years. It was by choice so there’s no one to blame but me.
