Logic only works in a reality with rules.

It’s like how Bugs Bunny can walk on thin air if he doesn’t look down.

Edit: Actually, now that I think on it, it’s more like Calvinball. The rules are made up on the spot and can be discarded on a whim.

Same reason people in psychosis don’t think they’re crazy.

Marijuana affects the brain in the same way. Have you ever listened to stoner try to connect things logically?

I wouldn’t say it’s building convincing fake logic. I’d say that reality is more smoke and mirrors than you’d expect. Everything we sense is just electrical stimuli in the brain, so you don’t necessarily need the exterior stimuli to experience something.

As far as dreams following a “narrative” or story. Think of it like how you can almost predict what someones going to say mid sentence. Now imagine you have a little bit of stimuli going on while you sleep, and you predict the next step, then happens and you predict the next step, repeat ad nauseum until your a pink elf riding a mythical beast through the fields of fantasy.

I have a problem with knowing that I’m trying to wake up from dreaming and end up in nightmarish sleep paralysis. Dreaming, my guess keeps me entertained with ridiculous things until my body wakes up.

Because in the dream world that is reality. You don’t recognize that reality is different till you wake and are back in this reality unless you can lucid dream. But in truth thanks to there being no way to prove we are not in a simulation there is nothing to say this reality doesn’t have “fake logic” its just its what we perceive as real.

Dreams are likely subconscious/unconscious related and more metaphoric than literal. That being said, some researchers just proved people can share information through dreams. There’s a lot we don’t understand.

Our reality is much more fragile than we think it is. I once had a bad enough bout of vertigo that I forgot basic facts and literally felt like a different person.

Imagine if the mentally impaired version lost faith in God and He was petty asf. 💀
